For our April 2023 Special Edition we teamed up with pastry chef Natasha Pickowicz (formerly of Café Altro Paradiso and Flora Bar) on a set of four 7-inch plates that are, in Natasha’s words, “meant for shareable baked goods and getting together” i.e., everything from breakfast pastries to slices of cake.
The color palette isn’t just spot-on for spring and summer, it’s also inspired by the cover of Natasha’s book More Than Cake.
That next-level stamp on the back? It was designed by Natasha’s mom, the artist Li Huai.
The More Than Cake Serving Set includes:

Our products are made of ceramic stoneware, using clays sourced in the northeastern United States. Each piece is designed with a thick build, constructed by hand, and kiln-fired to temperatures over 2,000 degrees Fahrenheit to ensure maximum strength and durability.

The More Than Cake Serving Set will ship within 5 - 10 business days.
At present, we are able to ship retail orders to the United States and Canada (please review our FAQ for additional information on Canadian import duties). We also ship internationally to restaurants and hospitality businesses that meet our order minimums. Please contact us at hospitality@jonopandolfi.com if you're interested in learning more about placing a hospitality order for delivery overseas.
When trying to decide if a glaze color or clay body is right for you, we recommend purchasing a smaller item like a Cereal Bowl in the color of choice to see it in person first. Our pottery is often made or glazed to order and very tricky to ship, so we try to provide our customers with as much guidance as we can in advance of ordering to minimize returns. That said, if you're not satisfied with what you receive, we'll issue a refund less a 15% restocking fee. (Restocking fees will be waived for orders under $50.)

Inside the Studio
Our dinnerware is hand-made at a light-filled studio in Union City, New Jersey, by a team of artisans. The studio is also where we quality check and pack up dozens of orders per day, which are then sent out to restaurants like Lilia, Jean-Georges, and Felix Trattoria and to serious home cooks all over the country.
Our Story
When Jono started the company in 2004, he had a simple mission: to design unique dinnerware options for the hospitality industry. He started small, with one wheel and one kiln, and collaborated with chefs, taking risks and learning from his mistakes. Then and now, his priority is to work directly with our clients, responding quickly and thoughtfully to their needs in ways that larger manufacturers can’t, resulting in dinnerware with a personal feel that sets our clients’ restaurants and dining rooms apart.
Our Process
Each piece that Jono has designed has its own unique production process, which can entail as many as 15 individual steps, and use methods such as slip casting, jiggering, and good old-fashioned wheel throwing. Our studio is equipped with 10 kilns and 6 wheels and we begin each day with the thrill of opening our Blaauw kiln to discover the finished pieces we loaded in the night before.
